Ahmed Akbar Sobhan Inaugurated the 3rd Anniversary of Radio Capital

Radio Capital, a private radio station, representing frequency modulation (FM) of 94.8, has stepped into fourth years of its operation on Thursday with a fresh pledge to reach all corners of Bangladesh within this year.

The broadcasting media of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), celebrated third founding anniversary on Thursday amid festivity and special programmes.

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan inaugurated the anniversary celebration by cutting a cake along with editors of media outlets under EWMGL flag at the radio station’s head office in the capital.

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan said Radio Capital has gained place in top of the minds of the listeners by broadcasting quality progammes.

“We establish media to lead the country to prosperity projecting success tale of people. People have been listened radio since many decades as most traditional platform of communications. Our ancestors depended on radio as authentic source of information,” he flashed back to glory of radio medium.

Akbar Sobhan also mentioned that Radio Capital along with other entities of EWMGL has been leading respective domains gaining popularity showing excellence.

“Our media group is the largest combo in the South Asia region of its kind. We have successful presence in Europe and America alongside of leading Bangladesh market. We have planned to start footprint in Middle East in near future,” he added.

He also directed the management of Radio Capital to take initiative to start countrywide operations to reach more people with quality programmes.

Appreciating the officials and staff of the EWMGL media, Bashundhara Group Chairman further said that all employees of our media have showed their excellence in local and international level and maintain uniqueness by showing ‘belongings to own houses (media),”

Radio Capital Chief Executive Naem Nizam said the Radio Capital has completed successful operations in last three years and appeared to new years with an objective to integration with digital platform.

“The Radio station began journey three years ago in effort of our Chairman. There is a public saying that anything turns gold, if it is touched by Bashundhara Group chairman. Hope we will bring new dimension in radio services in the country through Radio Capital,” Naem, also editor of Bangladesh Pratidin added.

Daily Sun Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury said Radio Capital has taken lead over other FM stations in the country just the way other entities of EWMGL, the largest media group in the region, have maintained in respective field.

Among others, Bangladesh Pratidin Executive Editor Peer Habibur Rahman, Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan, acting Editor Mostofa Kamal, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, News24 Head of News Rahul Raha, Daily Sun City and Diplomatic Editor Rezaul Karim Lotus were also present on the occasion.

Radio Capital started its journey on January 2 in 2017.
